True to its leading role in spreading insurance awareness, Tawuniya Insurance Company organized a training session entitled "Insurance Fundamentals for the media", that highlighted the relation between risk and insurance, insurance principles, insurance products and the pricing process, in addition to an overview of the insurance sector in Saudi Arabia.
This session, held in Tawuniya's Talent Development Center last Thursday is the first session of its kind organized for the media, and is the result of the important role that media professionals play in covering insurance issues and spreading awareness among the society and in the business sector. This important role contributes greatly to overall development by diminishing the losses incurred by citizens and the government.
Tawuniya's Senior vice president - Technical, Mr. Sultan Al Khomashi, honored journalists participating in the session and presented them with certificates, and stressed that enhancing of the media’s insurance knowledge will help clarify many facts to the public.
On this occasion, Mr. Majed Al- Bahiti, the General Manager of Marketing, declared: “We are proud to host this elite group of journalists in this training session that has been customized to enhance media professionals’ insurance knowledge through insurance experts to provide a professional overview of insurance principles, the best insurance practices and the market challenges.
Al-Bahiti stressed that the insurance sector’s development and its future chances need specialized economic reporting to highlight its issues professionally and contribute to the focus on the available opportunities, attracting Saudi talents, influencing positively the Saudi insurance market and its growth to reach the international standards in penetration and density.
