Qatar Duty Free and luxury French-Italian brand, Moncler, have launched an exciting pop-up boutique retail space in Hamad International Airport (HIA) – providing shoppers with the first ever dedicated Moncler store in Qatar.
Located in the main departures hall of HIA, and situated behind the Lamp Bear, the pop-up Moncler boutique takes visitors on a journey through the stunning French Alps, in a setting reminiscent of some of Europe’s most luxurious snow resorts. The luxury shopping experience houses Moncler’s men’s and women’s ready-to-wear and accessory collection, along with the luxury brand’s famous down jackets.
The boutique marks the beginning of a permanent and much larger presence for Moncler in Qatar Duty Free, with the brand’s permanent stand-alone store scheduled to open in the award-winning airport in early 2017.
Senior Vice President Qatar Duty Free, Mr. Luis Gasset said: “Moncler is a globally renowned brand that’s synonymous with quality and style, and it is this same brand synergy that forms a natural partnership between Qatar Duty Free and Moncler. Both brands share the same vision for adventure and provide global travellers with unrivalled levels of quality and luxury, and I am thrilled to be able to offer our travellers this exciting boutique store, followed by Qatar’s first ever permanent Moncler store which will be unveiled in 2017.”
The addition of the Moncler pop-up store complements Qatar Duty Free’s already well-established luxury retail experience at HIA with a range of premium stores stocking leading brands to surprise and delight the discerning traveller. With a number of flights to the world’s most sought after winter and adventure destinations, Qatar Duty Free’s dedicated Moncler boutique is a welcomed and timely addition to what is one of the world’s leading airports for shopping.
HIA the home of Qatar Duty Free, was announced as the world’s fifth ‘Best Airport for Shopping,’ as well as the ‘Best Airport in the Middle East’ for the second consecutive year at the 2016 Skytrax World Airport Awards in March. At the same time HIA leapt into the ‘World’s Top 10 Best Airports’ ranking and became the first ever Middle Eastern airport to achieve the honour.
