Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center has today announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dubai Airports, which is aimed at enhancing the center's efforts to raise awareness of UAE national heritage, particularly amongst visitors and tourists. The MoU was signed by H.E Jamal Al Hai, Vice President/ Dubai Airports and H.E Abdullah Hamdan Bin Dalmook, CEO of the Hamdan bin Mohammed Heritage Center.
The memorandum signing demonstrates a great enthusiasm from both parties to collaborate and coordinate efforts, towards achieving their shared vision to preserve and promote intangible Emirati cultural heritage. The memorandum will also explore opportunities for cooperation across a number of fields.
H. E. Jamal Al Hai, Vice President/ Dubai Airports said: “We are delighted to strengthen our collaboration with the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center, to support the vision of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council. Dubai Airports will provide many forms of support to the center, in order to promote heritage and championship initiatives that highlight Dubai’s popular national identity to its visitors. In addition, the center will support us in celebrating national events, especially the UAE National Day.”
The agreement includes the internal and external allocation of sites in Dubai Airports, to raise awareness of the center’s activities and events including the Fazza Championships. At these locations, the public will be enthused and inspired by interactive exhibition stands, which incorporate digital platforms featuring Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center sports and championship events. Interested members of the public will be provided the opportunity to understand and register for any activities, sports and tournaments they may take interest in.
This memorandum will also see Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center and Dubai Airports working together during official national and international occasions. There will be joint cooperation in tournaments and events organised by the two parties, as well as an exploration of the prospects of collaboration for any other occasion which relates to the national heritage of the United Arab Emirates.
HE Abdullah Hamdan Bin Dalmook, CEO of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center said: “Recognising the important position that the Dubai Airports holds as an international gateway for residents, tourists and visitors arriving in the Emirate, we believe that it is highly valuable for raising awareness about Emirati heritage. This partnership represents a golden opportunity to illuminate the public about events and activities that are organised by the center. Together, our organisations will promote UAE culture through raising awareness of Emirati sports, activities, tournaments, national celebrations and events.”
The two organisations will exchange ideas, information and experiences on working together to optimise the goals of the memorandum. To ensure the objectives of this memorandum are implemented, the parties agreed to form a joint committee for consultations to implement its outlined objectives.
