Twitter today unveiled Periscope Producer, a new way for brands, media organizations and other live video creators to share high-quality, produced live video on Periscope and Twitter. By broadcasting live video with Periscope Producer, Twitter partners can broadcast higher-quality content through external cameras and software and support the engagement elements found on Periscope and Twitter with minimal setup.
Through professional-grade cameras and streaming software, partners can easily create and Tweet live video with higher production value than previously enabled on Periscope. Renowned Saudi influencer, Ahmad Shugairi (@Shugairi) who has over 15M+ followers on Twitter, was the first in the Middle East and North Africa region to use Periscope Producer during the event awards ceremony of MBC’s TV show "Qomrah", which was held in the UAE to announce the winners of the show’s competition that was aired during Ramadan. The Periscope broadcast was over 3 hours long and generated over 81K views. @Shugairi even Tweeted the Periscope broadcast for his followers to join in: https://twitter.com/shugairi/status/781890997680766976
Following the awards ceremony, @Shugairi created his first Twitter Moment, a new feature on Twitter which enables people to find curated Tweets from around the world, making him the first Saudi influencer to create a Moment to highlight the success of the event.
