The 2nd Annual MENA Orthopaedics Congress launches today in Dubai, supported by the UAE Ministry of Health & Prevention and organized by Maarefah Management. The leading event takes place over two days in cooperation with a number of international medical associations, including American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Indian Orthopaedic Association, Indonesian Orthopaedic Association, Sudanese Orthopaedics Surgeon Association and Bahrain Medical Society and sponsored by the American Hospital Dubai and other major specialized authorities.
The first day of the congress included scientific presentations and panel discussions that addressed key issues related to this field regionally, such as the newest treatments methods for joints, problems of the upper limb in brachial plexus palsy, examination and full diagnosis of the spine and treatment options cervical vertebrae, the latest developments in surgeries of spinal deformities in children, management of metastasis bone disease. On the second day of the congress, experts and specialists will discuss the causes of knee pain and its diagnosis and treatment, a global perspective on joint replacement and the latest developments on the complete replacement of the knee, specialized centers for replacement of the ankle joint in the United Arab Emirates and surgeries of joint replacement among other important topics.
