Saudia launches new app

Zamil Bin Jameel Al-Osaimi, vice president of Saudi Arabian Airlines for IT, and other senior officials, attended a recent ceremony to launch the airline’s new mobile app for institutional resources systems (SAP Mobility phase1).

Speaking on the occasion, Al-Osaimi said the airline’s ongoing transformation program aims at offering as many as 120 services and internal electronic facilities via mobile and smart phones, and these included details of employees’ vacation, salary, purchase orders, flight services and the like. SAP Mobility enables the national carrier to have secure and efficient business on mobile platforms.

This package of services is part of the airline’s SV2020 Plan and transformation program initiatives aimed at improving the internal procedures and offering excellent services by making use of highly advanced technological devices to keep pace with the latest developments in the aviation industry.

Saudia is expected to complete the second part of the first phase of the program in August and the last part in November this year.
