Flynas to increase Abu Dhabi frequency to daily service

Saudi Arabian national carrier flynas has announced that it will add two additional flights on its Riyadh-Abu Dhabi route, on Mondays and Fridays.

From March 27, the service will operate daily– departing Riyadh at 9:35 a.m. to land in Abu Dhabi at 12:35 p.m. local time while the return is scheduled to leave Abu Dhabi International Airport at 2:45 p.m., arriving into Riyadh’s King Khaled International Airport at 3:45 p.m. local time.
“Abu Dhabi is an exceptionally important market for flynas owing to its prominence as a top destination for family-friendly tourism, with many world-class leisure offerings and weekend getaway opportunities for local, regional and international guests. The market response has been incredibly positive since we launched our service between Riyadh and Abu Dhabi in December 2015, and our decision to increase the frequency of flights connecting the two capitals will accommodate the high demand we have been witnessing for this route, especially as the emirate’s popularity continues to rise among both business and leisure travelers,” said Paul Byrne, CEO of flynas.
The launch of the new route last month established Abu Dhabi as the fourth destination within flynas’ GCC route network after Dubai, Kuwait and Bahrain — expanding the airline’s reach to a total of 26 destinations within and outside of Saudi Arabia.
The service also strengthens flynas’ codeshare partnership with Etihad Airways — allowing flynas to place its XY flight code on 226 Etihad Airways’ flights between Abu Dhabi and 20 international destinations.
“Abu Dhabi is also one of the region’s main gateways to the world, and thanks to our codeshare partnership and our strong relationship with Etihad Airways, the new service will allow flynas guests to enjoy enhanced connectivity to key destinations across Europe, South Asia and beyond,” he added.
Tickets for the daily flights effective March 27 March are now on sale on the flynas website www.flynas.com. Guests can also make their bookings through an authorized local travel agent.
Flynas has a fleet of twenty-six A320 aircraft, operating more than 1,000 weekly flights on 26 routes within and outside the Kingdom.
After unveiling a new brand identity in 2013, flynas launched a Business Class cabin to diversify its offerings and announced a number of significant investments and developments in 2014, aimed at enhancing its aircraft fleet and services.
