The potential for signage is huge especially in countries like the UAE which is highly committed to transform its cities into smart cities, which fosters a demand for more exchange of information including digital signage. While the global digital signage market is expected to touch $20.03 billion by 2020, according to a new study by Grand View Research, the UAE digital signage market is pegged to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of around 23 per cent over the next four years, it is estimated. A noticeable growth in demands from interior décor and digital packaging industries is also causing manufacturers to create newer and better technology.
“Sign and Graphic Imaging industry is faced with the challenge of commoditization, with consumers expecting organisations to provide them with faster print runs and personalised prints. Expanded range of printing substrate is a growing need and advanced graphical capabilities in imaging and display technologies are demanding printing to be done having a high level of quality. We are extremely delighted to showcase our innovative printing range such as the Océ ColorWave 910, which we feel is perfectly poised to tackle these demands,” said Hendrik Verbrugghe, Marketing Director, Canon Middle East.
