Al-Jazeera Paints participates in painting the largest artistic portrait in the world project
Striving to elevate the taste of art through colors
With the attendance of a delegation from “Japanese Land Identity Society,” 500 students from Asir schools district participated in painting the largest artistic portrait for children’s drawings in the world. Al-Jazeera Paints, the high quality paint industry giant in the Middle East and surrounding regions participated in this activity as part of its role to contribute to community development and promotion and enhancing the civilizational and cultural aspects on the local and international levels. It also aimed at discovering skills and elevate the taste of art to all society segments through colors. The children executed the painting of the portrait under the supervision of a number of supervisors, educators and teachers in the public arena in Abha city as part of a joint project between the Public Education Department and the General Authority for Tourism and Antiquities in the area. This has taken place in the framework of the 2nd phase of the portrait which reached 100sm in diameter and included the drawing of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Japan slogans in one portrait. The society then will gather the portions of the portrait which was drawn in five Saudi cities and put them together in one portrait and place it in one of the historical sites in Al Riyadh city at the end of the tour. Afterward, the portrait along with other Japanese drawings will be showcased in the largest closed stadium in Japan on the summer of 2015 commemorating the 60th mark of Diplomatic relationships between the Kingdom and Japan, the anniversary that is being worked on by the Foreign Ministries of the Kingdom and Japan. In December of 2015 the portrait will be brought to the Kingdom for public showing. The portrait’s drawings focused on highlighting the beauties and landmarks of Asir touristic, cultural, developmental and economic area along with its construction heritage, touristic environment and social livelihood. These qualities are the reason behind choosing Abha as one of the stations among other Kingdom’s city to execute this initiative which included also Al Dammam, Jeddah, Tabouk and Al Baha cities. Al-Jazeera Paints provided the needed tools to execute the drawing of the portrait including drawing tools and environmentally responsible colors along with contributing in the preparations to organize this event and its requirements. The company sponsors many other cultural, touristic, social, economic, sport and awareness activities throughout the Kingdom.
