The Saudi Geological Survey has reported there were 107 earthquakes in the region from Feb. 6 to March 10.
Hani Zahran of the Saudi Geological Survey’s National Center for Earthquakes and Volcanoes said the tremors varied in degrees from 0.6 to 3.7 on the Richter Scale, Al Watan quoted him as saying.
“The epicenter was located 70 km north of Umluj city,” he said.
“The earthquakes affected the chain of mountains on the Red Sea,” Zahran was quoted as saying by the Arabic daily.
