The Music Commission, one of the sector-specific commissions under the Ministry of Culture, is holding the first-ever Riyadh Music Week in partnership with MDLBeast and the Saudi Research and Media Group (SRMG). Riyadh Music Week will include the Global Music Makers Summit, a new event that will bring together leaders and global policymakers from the music sector. The week will also highlight the traditional music community through the activation of small venues across the city, with live performances showcasing the diversity of local Saudi talent. It will also feature the Music Cities Convention and Awards, marking the first time this global event is held in the Middle East. Throughout the week's events, there will also be a variety of panel sessions, seminars, and workshops covering the latest developments in the global music scene. The event unites some of the key music moments in the Riyadh calendar, including XP Music Futures, SoundStorm, and the inaugural Billboard Arabia Music Awards. The event offers a platform for local and international collaboration, celebrating Saudi music and showcasing regional talents. Riyadh Music Week will boost opportunities for both established and emerging artists and spotlight the new businesses emerging from the evolving music sector.
