Tickets selling fast for Dubai’s biggest ever festival of creativity

The -ing Creatives Festival running from 11-13 April is a ‘festival of the mind’ which promises to celebrate – and shake up – Dubai’s creative scene. And tickets are selling fast.

 

Superstar designers, animators, photographers and calligraphers from across the globe will descend on the UAE for the fourth annual -ing festival happening at Dubai Design District.

 

Major players from Disney, National Geographic, Facebook and DreamWorks will host hands-on workshops, in which they are promising hints, tips and the secrets of their success.

 

Among the 20 A-list names hosting more than 50 sessions will be

 

Animator Tony Bonilla – who is currently working on Disney’s next Wreck-it-Ralph. With over 12 years of animation under his belt, some of his iconic work include Moana, Zootopia, Big Hero 6, Rio,  Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, and the Jimmy Neutron television series

 

Facebook’s key product designers - Cat Audi- to share a sneak peek of what happens behind the scenes at the social giant. Audi will talk through how design syncs the UX and consumer experience together.

 

Tron Mai - The animator behind some of this decade’s biggest animation box office hits including King Fu Panda 2, Rapunzel, and How to Train Your Dragon, he is head of story at DreamWorks and has previously worked for Disney and Sony.

 

But if you wish to attend the spectacular, organisers are advising advance tickets should be bought soon.

 

Ramy Alawssy, founder of - ing, said: “We had more than 2,500 people come along last year and it was a brilliant success. But this year, because of our world-leading speakers and great location – in Dubai Design District – we’re predicting an even bigger turn out.”

 

“The festival has become a key date in Dubai’s creative calendar. But it’s by no means just for people who work in the city’s creative industries. -ing is for everyone, and there truly is something for all tastes at this year’s festival – whether that’s hands-on tips on how to take better photos from professionals or a market to browse and buy clothing, jewellery, books and gifts. It will be a wonderful weekend.”

 

Workshops will tackle diverse subjects such as how to become an Instagram hit, how to use play and fun to become more productive at work, and the best way to pitch your ideas.

 

It will be the fourth year the festival has been held. It takes place at Dubai Design District, April 11-13. A 3-day Pass ticket starts at USD 220 and an All-Inclusive Ticket at 450 USD. For the full programme, please visit here.
