Saudi students start new academic year today

More than six million general education students, including nearly 1.36 million students belonging to university education and technical and vocational training, started today, Aug. 20, their new academic year in their schools and educational, academic and training institutions, across the Kingdom.

In a statement, the Ministry of Education pointed out that preparations for the academic year had started in an early stage, in integration with education departments according to a strategic plan.

The ministry aimed to get schools ready for the new year, and to make a serious remarkable back-yo-school kick off.

Therefore, the ministerial field teams worked, in collaboration with the ministry’s school readiness committees across the Kingdom’s education departments, to provide the necessary school needs and raise the school’s readiness to receive students.

The statement emphasized the role of parents and families in motivating their children and ensuring their participation, in order to achieve the educational goals of the students' journey.
