The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council for Arab States, Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, said the accession of Saudi Arabia and the UAE to the Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa (BRICS) Group, emphasizes the importance of the GCC economies.
The GCC countries are making great effort to achieve the goals of sustainable development and develop their economies. Their accession to such huge global economic groups comes within the great and distinguished regional and international efforts undertaken by the GCC countries to communicate with all regional and international organisations.
This also comes as part of efforts to ensure international peace and security, the prosperity and development of the world peoples, as well as increased efficiency, productivity and competitiveness in international markets, Albudaiwi added.
