Saudi Arabia adopted a comprehensive approach focused on harnessing all the potentials of energy production from renewables, hydrogen, electricity transmission, and establishing hydrogen distribution pipelines, said Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman.
During MENA Climate Week in Riyadh, the Energy Minister highlighted the need for the region to maintain oil and gas production due to expected global energy sector growth by 2050.
He emphasized Saudi Arabia's anticipation that the map of countries managing oil will change in the future, with some ceasing production while others have the potential to continue.
He further noted that, despite changes in energy usage, the region aims to remain at the forefront of oil and gas-producing nations
