Saudi Arabia’s Insurance Authority (IA) announced today, Nov. 23, appointing Eng. Naji Al-Tamimi as CEO.
IA commenced operations 90 days after the publication of the Regulation of the Insurance Authority on Aug. 25.
Al-Tamimi has more than 27 years of experience in the insurance sector. He served as a strategic and credible managing director, chief growth and investment officer at several companies. He also participated in the establishment and development of local and multinational businesses in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.
He was the Managing Director, and Chief Growth & Investment Officer at Marsh Saudi Arabia. Al-Tamimi also served as CEO of Insurance House Co. and its aggregators “TAMEENI” Platform to provide insurance brokerage, e-broking concept. He also worked as Regional CEO, Saudi Arabia, Qatar & Bahrain at Aon in the Middle East. Al-Tamimi also held the position of Deputy Chairman at Aon Bahrain. He was a board member at Aon Hewitt SA. He also worked as Deputy General Manager at RFIB Saudi Arabia and also worked at Malath Cooperative Insurance Co. and The Company for Cooperative Insurance (Tawuniya).
In 1995, Al-Tamimi earned BSc of Chemical Engineering from King Saud University. He also received on-the-job training at MunichRe in Germany. He also received the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) degree
