King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) completed the construction of 95 buildings spanning 1.6 million square meters (sqm), CNBC Arabia reported, citing CEO Gautam Sashittal.
Most of these buildings were completed and delivered to tenants, Sashittal said, adding that KAFD accommodates 12,500 residents, and the number is expected to increase to 100,000 over the coming 12 months.
Three under-construction hotels will open in KAFD by 2024, while nearly 1,000 luxury residential units will be ready by year-end.
The project also features shops covering 220,000 sqm and a plethora of world-class amenities, including restaurants.
KAFD will likely attract 40,000 visitors daily after one and half years, Sashittal noted, indicating that the project is 40% complete and the company is looking forward to finalizing the remaining part over the coming period.
