Mohanad Al Shaikh, CEO of Johnson Controls Arabia, said that exporting Saudi-made air conditioners to the US market today is merely the result of work done over the past years. Other agreements will be signed in the coming months to export to European markets.
The company exports to more than 26 countries, and targets the Chinese market by 2030, Al-Eqtasadiah newspaper reported.
He explained that the specifications of the Saudi market are similar to those of its US counterpart in terms of quality and energy efficiency, noting that there is a forthcoming phase to export a thousand cooling units to the US markets.
The CEO also spoke about plans to expand the Saudi industry to the rest of the world, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 to increase non-oil exports to SAR 550 billion annually by 2030.
